Here's a couple of fiction illustrations I did ( of 8) for the Dr Who Storybook 2010. The story was about sentient doors - written by the very talented Paul Magyrs and called Knock Knock! Again the brush pen was crucial to getting these done!
love that top shot, and i'm really digging that magic yer doing with brushpen. be interesting see where you 'end up' with these stylistic re-tunes. and those two pics below are gorgeous. NIGHT CALLER made a strong impression on me as a youth, the atmosphere and setting, like a QUATERMASS or DR.WHO story that never was. must find it on DVD.
Thanks guys. I don't really know where I'm headed with the brushpen. I know some folks haven't appreciated the rougher aspect - others have. At the end of the day it's the jobs that will dictate the way I guess.I'm torn on the issue myself.:)
NIGHT CALLER is only available on R1 disc as far as I know - though it turns up on telly quite frequently!
Beautiful work!

ReplyDeleteI was really chuffed with the illustrations for Knock Knock! I've wanted you to provide the pics for something of mine for ages.
