Draconian Ninja comics!

I thought it about time I posted some comics pages on the blog. Last year I illustrated Dr Who: Cold Blooded War  for IDW comics. It was only published in the U.S. sadly , so I'm sharing some pages with you here in case you didn't run across the title. This was the first strip I'd drawn with a brush pen - it's rough in places perhaps but I hope the energy and love of the subject shines through! I can't show all the 22 pages , but here's a selection to give you a flavour. Dedicated to Jon.

  3. Love how economically but effectively the Ice Warriors are realised; their design looks brilliant in this style

  5. WJC - Thankyou.

James - Doubtful you'll find in in a UK shop ( it wasn't distributed here except in small numbers in specialist shops).

Neil - Thanks bro' - if there's a little bit of Cooke there I'm pleased.:)

Neil - I was pleased with how the Ice Warriors turned out - I had the old David lloyd Dr Who art in the back of my mind. He did Lovely brushy ink warriors.

Shane - The brush pen saved this job.The script was running late and after a change of writer we had 4 weeks to write, draw, colour and letter the strip which had been solicited already. It was hectic and fun and I was forced to learn what the brush pen would do.Deadlines like this can make you fearless. I'd pencil/ink pages and send them on immediately. I'm so chuffed with all the kind remarks I've been getting - thank you all.
